In the heart of Devon

A wealth of rural Devon to discover

Nestling between the high moors of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the area has a wealth of rural life, history, churches, folklore and hidden villages with country inns, just waiting to be discovered.

Brickmoor lies just outside the village of Yeoford, 3.5 miles from the market town of Crediton, with the cathedral city of Exeter 12 miles to the east and Dartmoor National Park 4 miles to the south-west. Both the north and south coasts are within easy driving distance, as are the RHS garden at Rosemoor and various National Trust properties.

“The best B&B we know”

Brickmoor is perfect for a couple who want a private, peaceful, smart, clean and comfortable home while they visit the area around Exeter. Richard and Doreen couldn’t have been nicer, and they do everything very well.

One big advantage it has over nearly all other B&Bs is that you have your own detached accommodation, built, finished and furnished to a very high standard. There are no other guests, there’s plenty of parking, and having your own cottage means you can stay in if the weather’s bad or you simply want to rest.

It’s so rare to find a really good B&B that we’re thinking now of basing our Devon holidays only around Brickmoor. And on the note of food — are Doreen’s breakfasts excellent? Yes. Yum.
