Your own private deck……….. |
Brickmoor is situated just outside the village of Yeoford which lies 3.5 miles from the market town of Crediton in the heart of Devon, famous for it's Church of the Holy Cross and it is the birthplace of St. Boniface in 680AD, with the Cathedral city of Exeter just 12 miles to the east and Dartmoor National Park 4 miles to the southwest. Both the north and south coasts are within easy driving distance as are the RHS gardens Rosemoor and various National Trust properties. |

And a cosy sitting room! |
This is a review that was posted on tripadvisor by a visitor from Kent. "The best B&B we know" Brickmoor is perfect for a couple who want a private, peaceful, smart, clean and comfortable home while they visit the area around Exeter. Richard and Doreen couldn't have been nicer, and they do everything very well. One big advantage it has over nearly all other B&B's is that you have your own detached accommodation, built, finished and furnished to a very high standard. Downstairs, there's a small hall handy for boots and coats, and a sitting/eating room with a table, chairs, settee, sink, fridge, microwave, TV and a good range of DVDs. Upstairs, there's a large double bedroom (proper reading lights, ample storage, a fan for hot nights and a heater for cold ones), and a big bathroom with a bath and separate shower. There's also a fine, big deck at the back for guests and you're welcome in the huge, beautiful garden. There are no other guests, there's plenty of parking, and having your own cottage means you can stay in if the weather's bad or you want to rest. WiFi let us keep up with essential work emails. Richard and Doreen have put in a lot of thought and effort, and the common B&B annoyances of not enough hooks, lights, towel rails, heating and storage aren't here. It's so rare to find a really good B&B that we're thinking now of basing Devon holidays only around Brickmoor. There's a lot to see and do in the area. We loved Killerton, a very human National Trust house and park. The New Inn at Coleford will welcome and feed you very pleasantly. And on the note of food, are Doreen's breakfasts excellent? Yes. Yum. Students on a hospitality course in Devon would do well to visit Brickmoor and see how things should be done. |
